PDM-I'M SORE split cd

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
To celebrate PDM's first trip to Japan in Feb-Mar 2001, BORN HORSE records (the new label by MSBR & K2) decided to release this split CD. PDM (Princess dragonmom), the loud volume concept act from Detroit, has been performing live since 1993. On this trip to Japan, they performed seven times, but did two "shows". "THE DEVIL'S ROBOTS BIRTHDAY" was performed in Tokyo at THE BOWELS OF NOISE vol. 3, and "NOISE CAMP" was performed throughout the rest of Japan. There was a RIOT by audience at DEVIL'S ROBOT'S BIRTHDAY, the crowd pulled and broke poor DEVIL'S ROBOT until candy came out, but everything was OK (except short show: less than 10 min!!!). NOISE CAMP was performed throughout the rest of Japan (you see, NOISE CAMP is much easier to travel without large robot suit, PDM carry only camping gear, electronics and bush suit). NOISE CAMP was fun all over Japan, all of the kids in Japan got to have noisey USA camping experience. So, these two long tracks on this CD are live recordings, mixed and edited, from other DEVIL'S ROBOT and NOISE CAMP shows in USA and Europe. I'M SORE is the new project by IAN MASTERS (Pale saints, Spoonfed hybrid, ESP summer) using MUSICAL SAW and electronics. The musical saw is the age-old instrument where a common hand-saw is plucked, stroked, and tapped until beautiful sounds come out. Ian has just moved to Japan (from England), so PDM were happy to play some shows with their old friend!!! And he makes psychedelic atmospheric noise using sore. Some parts is like soundtrack of movie. Tracks by PRINCESS DRAGONMOM are very harsh and aggressive. Many people have an interest to just performance (it's like RIOT by them and audience!!!) but sounds in this CD are really strong and great. I imagine HARDROCK spirit in Detroit, for example MC5!!! (Koji Tano).
