- HISTORY OF THE CARDBOARD UFO FACTORY/MOCAD
- (retrospective artshow at the Majestic Café)

Show runs the entire month of August
You all remember the TIME STEREO/UFO FACTORY installation at the
MOCAD "Considering Detroit" artshow May-July 2008. If you were able to visit the installation you may have seen a WOLF MAN FREEDOM RALLY, a BLACK
& BLACK artshow, a FROG PEOPLE performance, or maybe you just enjoyed
an exact replica of the real UFO FACTORY, perfect in every detail except is was made entirely of cardboard, tape and glue instead of traditional building materials.
On July 19, 2008, PRINCESS DRAGONMOM held a ROBOT HEART artshow/
performance inside the cardboard UFO FACTORY at MOCAD. Sadly, during
the course of this performance, most of the UFO FACTORY was destroyed
by the out-of-control robot who was trying to find his missing heart.
Fortunately, using careful excavation and restoration techniques, we were able to salvage some of the artwork and some architectural details. As a result, this artwork and architecture will be on display at the MAJESTIC CAFE for the entire month of August!!!
Featuring artwork by Dion Fischer, Davin Brainard, Warn Defever, Sarah Lapinski, Aliccia BB, Hitoko Sakai, Jamie Easter, Jenny Price, Sarah Burger, Chris Pottinger and the Taormina Bros.

- PDM'S ROBOT HEART
- The story of the ROBOT HEART is a psychological portrait of the group PRINCESS DRAGONMOM, forced to finally face the painful wrath of one thousand robot victim’s relentless heartbeats. It is truly a tale of conscience. ROBOT HEART is simultaneously a horror story and sci-fi mystery told from the rarely seen and heard robot's perspective.
After 15 years of robot related noise performance/destruction, you the viewer finally get to se what makes the PDM robot really, as they say "TICK". PDM aim to present an example of how harsh, abstract, and hypnotic electronic noise can be used in conjunction with traditional iconic cardboard robot imagery to relate a message of tolerance and empathy in these trying modern times, specifically relating to the multiple struggles within our small town of NEW DETROIT, and in a larger sense the USA as a whole.
The robot will have his heart at any cost. Is this the end of PRINCESS DRAGONMOM? Is it the dawning of a new CARDBOARD AGE? Will the robot sacrifice UFO FACTORY as penance for the collective sins of it's proprietors? Are we lost? Has our human lust for industry, machinery and power finally gotten the better of us? Who stole the robot's heart?
